How enrollment works

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Call (215) 494-9570 or email petrenko@sunnytreehouse.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We know choosing where your child spends the day is a big decision. We will let you know what comes next.

  2. 02

    Tour the room

Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch the room in action. Ask questions about the day, the routines, and how your child would fit in. Families often say this center feels like family. We are family owned and operated, and we invite you to visit.

  3. 03

    Enroll and settle in

Complete the enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. A shorter first day can help. Bring what your child needs to feel at home here. Then you are part of the Sunny Tree House family.

What to have ready

Most families bring a few things on paper: enrollment forms, a health form and your child's immunization record. Have your emergency contacts and the names of people allowed to pick up your child. If you are not sure what is needed, ask us and we will walk you through it.

Pack a full change of clothes in case of spills or puddles. Add outdoor gear for the season, nap items if your child rests here, and one comfort object from home. Label everything with your child's name so it finds its way back.

Before the first day, decide who will drop off and who will pick up. Tell us that pick-up list so we know who to expect. Let us know how you would like to hear about your child's day. We can talk at pickup and answer questions as they come.

The first weeks

The first days often start with a shorter visit. Your child can bring a familiar object from home. A teacher greets your child by name at the door. That greeting is the first small step.

At pickup, teachers tell you how the day went: what your child played, ate, and how they rested. Ask anything you want to know. Most children settle into the rhythm within a week or two, and we keep you posted as they do.

What families ask

What about tuition?

Ask about current rates when you call or tour. They depend on your child's age and schedule.

What ages do you take?

Children from children from 6 weeks through school age.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes, a tour is the best way to decide. Your child can come along and see the classroom too.

What should my child bring on the first day?

Pack a change of clothes, a comfort item, and anything your child needs for nap or outdoor time. Label everything with your child's name. Ask us if you are unsure what to bring.

How do you handle the first weeks?

The first days are often shorter so your child can ease in. A familiar object from home helps, and a teacher greets your child by name. At pickup, teachers tell you how the day went and how your child is settling.

What does a typical day include?

Days are built around arrival, play and learning, meals and rest, outdoor time, and pickup. We use The Creative Curriculum to plan activities that capture your child's curiosity. Your child's exact schedule depends on their age group, so ask us for the details.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Teachers talk with you at pickup about how the day went. You can ask questions any time. If you want more detail, just let us know what is helpful to you.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email us and we will tell you what is available for the days you need.

What if there is no place right now?

If we do not have a spot for your child's age right now, you can ask to be told when one opens. Call or email us and we will keep your name on file.

What should I ask on the tour?

Ask about hours, meals, and who can pick up your child. Ask how the first weeks are handled and what a typical day looks like. The answers help you picture your child here.
